| MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
hello there! i just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a happy holiday. hope you guys are doing great and staying warm this winter.
things here have been extremely busy and i am looking forward to a few days to lounge around. lots of new and exciting things going on here
first, i am going to be a grandma !! how crazy is that? eric and lindsey are expecting and i can't wait to be a Granny".
second, my car crapped out so what the hell, i bought a 2008 Equinox, i love it.
third, looks like we are moving out of this house. our neighborhood is going to the pooper and as much as i love it here, we have to go. we have found a home in a very nice part of town and at 105,000, it seems to be the best deal. we will be giving up some space, but to get out of here it will be worth it. did i mention we were robbed a few months ago ? and jessica was in the house alone when the guy came in. i was taking jocelyn to school. she was terrified and so was he since he ran when he saw her. but we all know that could have gone much worse. thank the Lord for watching over my daughter. i did have a crying spell a few days ago, just the fact that my kids have grown up in this house and this will be our last Christmas here.
and speaking of jocelyn, looks like her crackhead mom is in alot of trouble. she has been in jail since September and the D.A. has made here a offer of 14 years in a federal pen!! that is a long time. i do hate to see her locked up for years, but it has finally all caught up with her.so sad. but, jocelyn is doing great and is looking forward to her HUGE backyard at the new house. it was fun shopping for a little girls presents again, so much pink, so little time.
anyway, i wish you a very merry Christmas and hope you are blessed in the new year.

| we are in need of some smiles and giggles. the Permian Basin Fair starts today, so we will be off to the fairgrounds this evening! Jocelyn should love the petting zoo, ( how can you not ?), some kiddie rides, some fattening food on a stick, or in Artie's case, funnel cake. then maybe the WILD WEST SHOW and a visit with Klinky the clown. hows that for some fun? i am ready to laugh and relax.
i have started putting out my fall decorations. i know it is a tad early, but the colors and smell of pumpkin pie candles have a very calming effect on me. took a trip to Hobby Lobby and found some awsome stuff there. i swear, it should be called Shelly's Hobby Lobby  
i hope you guys have fun stuff planned for the weekend. remember......relax and take time to smell the roses.

| hello there! finally, i feel like sitting down to post, and actually have a minute.
things have been so busy, but Jessica has started school and Jocelyn starts next week. i think when i get her in school things will hopefully get back to normal. it has been so busy since the funeral. man, there is alot to take care of afterwards! Artie's stepdad is a mess, he just can't pull it together. but i have to say, Artie's mom is still causing chaos from beyond. can you believe that last summer she changed the insurance policies out of her husbands name and put them in the daughters names!!!!! the ones who did nothing all summer. needless to say, Jim,( the husband), was shocked. AND.... artie's mom had a house before she married jim, it has been a rental property for 15 years or so. well, he finds out that she put the house in crackheads name! so not only did he have to pay cash for the funeral, nor gets any insurance money, he also has all the bills incurring from her illness. what a mess.
We have had a few bad moments with Jocelyn. she will just bust out crying that she wants to go home and see grandma. i tell her grandma is not there anymore. so she says i want to go to the church and see her. i say grandma is not there anymore, shes in heaven with Jesus. i mean really, what do you say to a 3 year old? any suggestions? i think when she starts school it will be better, she will be busy.
and then i can get back to work hard and heavy. i came very close to losing my job. i just did not have time to get my work done. i am very behind but will eventually catch up.

| hi there, hope this note finds you well. things here are starting to smooth out. Jocilyn is getting used to being here with us and even says she is ready to go "home".
artie's mom is not well. on top of the cancer in the kidneys and lungs and heart, they have found 3 tumors in her brain. she started chemo last week, and in the words of the dr........see if we can slow this freight train down. Lord, i just do not know.

| hi there. how is summer treating you all? i hope you guys are having loads of fun.
well, it's been so busy since we got home from vacation. artie's mom has been in the hospital going on 2 weeks now, evidently the cancer is back and seems to be in her lungs, kidneys, and there is a mass on her heart. the dr. said it does not look good. her biopsy results come back today.
which means we have had the 3 year old with us. you might remember that she was raising the 2 grandkids, well now austin lives with his dad and no one knows who jocilyn's dad is. arties mom wants to come and get her as soon as she gets out of the hospital, but that is not gonna happen as she cannot even walk.
then arties sister the crackhead was in a accident last week. suburban full of other crackheads and a 18 month old baby not in a car seat. the baby was thrown from the vehicle and is still in the hospital. she was driving and was charged wit DWI and under the influence of a controlled substance ( crack). can you believe she is not in jail? they let her walk out of the hospital at 4 in the morning and now she is on the run. amazing.
so theres my update. really just no time for xanga or anything else for that matter. peace to all . shelly | | |
